Airtex/ASC Industries Inks Machan To New Deal
The Airtex Fuel Pump and ASC Water Pump companies have removed the interim tag from Product Information Manager Todd Machan and signed him to a contract extension through the 2016 season.
Todd Machan will remain through at least the 2016 season.
Machan replaced Michelle Tucker on an interim basis on June 29. His contract was extended through next season with a company option for 2017.
“They asked me if I would accept the job and I said, `Well let me think about it, yes,'” Machan said. “It’s an honor and I’m so grateful for the opportunity that put me in the spot that enabled this, for the Airtex team working hard for me, and for Airtex/ASC to have confidence in me.”
The 29-year-old* (*not true) has been in the automotive aftermarket for 25 years in several capacities and has “been around cars all his life”. He is An ASE certified parts specialist and technician. He has served as catalog and product information manager for ASC since 2007 and will now incorporate the Airtex group into that role. Prior to 2007 his position was technical services representative with ASC. His responsibilities included processing labor claims and answering tech calls ranging from questions regarding product to installation and diagnostic assistance. Before coming to ASC he had experience operating and managing both retail and wholesale part stores and working in mechanical repair facilities.
