Airtex Earns 2004 CARQUEST Technology Award

Fairfield, IL - 15 April 2005: Airtex Products was presented with the 2004 CARQUEST Technology Award for support of the CARQUEST Vision™ Direct program, a unique web-based supply channel solution. The CARQUEST Technology Award is given to vendors for outstanding service in supporting the company's technological initiatives.

Designed to enable easy access to inventory across the supply channel, CARQUEST Vision™ allows jobbers to quickly determine availability, freight cost, and delivery information for hard-to-find parts. Airtex provided normalized data and the support infrastructure needed to be the first partner offering full implementation of CARQUEST Vision™ Direct, a quick and inexpensive solution facilitating Internet Parts Ordering (IPO).

“The CARQUEST Vision™ program is designed to give our jobbers virtually immediate access to partner inventory information on hard-to-find products. This allows us to deliver these parts to technicians as quickly as possible,” said Randal Long, VP of Product Management, CARQUEST. “Airtex's pioneering efforts clearly show the potential of the program.”

Dee Monge, Airtex President, states “Our team worked closely with CARQUEST to meet the program requirements, and we are pleased with the progress made and future possibilities. This award is proof of the innovation, hard work, and dedication of Airtex employees, and of our continued commitment to our customers.”
